To facilitate the operations of an organization, communication with employees is very important. Here are 6 (six) of alternative approaches:
1. Orientation of human values.
Managers must be more responsive to human values. Communication must answer the needs of employees. The workers wanted to understand what was happening around them. Also want to be respected as individuals, and want to have a sense of purpose, understanding the future of their own work and overall future of the organization.
2. Planning.
Like other corporate functions, communication with employees should be planned. Communication must work for 365 days to achieve continuity and credibility. Do not let the employees feel that their leaders tried to connect only if they feel that the employee misunderstood
their position, or if they want to "sell" their ideas.
3. Effective complaints procedure.
Problems that office should be discussed with the employee according to the procedure. Comments about the employee should be obtained from the first hand.
4. Active listener.
Although the complex organizational structure, managers should not forget the people. Must develop the skills of "active listener".
5. Management involvement.
Managers should be enough to consider the direction, quality and content of all communications with employees. Employee involvement has always been key to the success of communication programs, and communication with employees is as important as any other communication made.
